Child Rights Training Package Completed Over 30,000 Times
News
In spring 2023, the National Child Strategy, in collaboration with eOppiva, launched the first government-led training package on children’s rights. The development and design of these trainings involved a broad network of professionals from various fields. Beyond central government, eOppiva’s digital learning environment is widely utilized by municipalities, wellbeing services counties, educational institutions, non-governmental organizations, and private companies. To date, the modules within this training package have been completed more than 30,000 times.
The trainings are free of charge and openly accessible, making them suitable for anyone who works with children or engages in child-related matters. Certain modules are specifically designed for volunteer activities. Each module provides essential knowledge on children’s rights and practical tools to promote them. The training package has also been integrated into onboarding processes for new employees.
Currently, the package consists of 11 modules. The latest addition is “Children’s Rights – Non-Discriminatory Early Childhood Education, School, and Educational Institution”, developed as part of the implementation plan for the National Child Strategy. In the coming years, the objective is to further increase awareness of the training package and to strengthen practices that support the application of learned principles in everyday professional work.
